What can I offer small and medium sized businesses ?

As a freelance web developer I specialise in developing low cost web-based custom database solutions for smaller businesses.

The internet provides powerful but low cost computing facilities. On-line databases and their associated websites can be readily accessed by multiple users from almost any location in the world. These users may be your customers and/or your employees. A remote user needs nothing more than a laptop (or a mobile phone) and a standard browser to be able to access your on-line databases.

If you need to keep better track of your business data then I can probably help you to improve the access to your data by using an on-line database. Maybe your hot issue is accurate and up to date stock control, or timesheets, or a booking system for shared resources, or tracking deliveries or management of quotations and prospects ?

Small to medium sized businesses each have their own business model which can benefit from bespoke on-line databases. To facilitate these you need to specify and develop your database and an associated website for access and update, and to arrange for these to be made available on the internet.

Well not as much as you might imagine, and often it is possible to make a start with just one set of facilities, extending to others as the effectiveness of the database and website pays dividends and opens up new possibilities. Running costs may only be in the order of a few pounds per year. Development costs keep me in part-time work - so not that great.

I am based in Kenilworth, Warwickshire. However, I have an important client in New Zealand and we regularly communicate, mostly by email - and I have never been to New Zealand !
